Auditions (Round 1) - Saturday, January 7, 2023

10am-2:30pm

Final Performance - Saturday, January 28, 2023


Can you sing? Dance? Act? Do Magic? Martial Arts? Comedy? Anything unusual, fascinating, or weird?

Whatever your talent, we want to see it!

But, first there are auditions. On January 7 from 10am to 2:30pm, our judges will be available to see what you can do. Then...on January 28, you can show Victoria! So much fun.

Audition Information


  • Contest is open to all amateurs ages 8 and up
  • Auditions will be held at the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts, 214 N. Main St., Victoria, Texas
  • Contestants will be allowed a 15-minute audition slot, this includes set up and takedown of any equipment
  • No microphones or amplifiers will be supplied on day of audition.
  • A CD with a toggle will be provided for contestants who wish to audition with tracks.

  • Piano provided.

Auditions

The contest is open to all amateurs ages 8 to 80.

Auditions will be held at the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts, 214 N. Main St., Victoria, Texas.

Contestants will be allowed to perform for up to 3 minutes. A CD of all music to be used must be submitted at the time of audition and will not be returned. A CD Player with Toggle provided for track auditions.

If chosen as a finalist, contestants must agree to participate in the Talent Show finale held Saturday, January 28 at The Leo J Welder Center for the Performing Arts.

Final Performance
Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 7:30pm


Contestants will be allowed to perform for up to 3 minutes.

Finalists must come dressed. There will not be access to dressing rooms.

All participants will be in one holding room.

Minors may be accompanied by one parent or guardian in the holding room. But they will not be allowed backstage.

Participants are permitted to sit in the audience after their performance only if a ticket has been purchased.

Participants are welcome to bring water in a spill proof container.

Food and other drinks are not permitted back stage.

Microphone, sound system and piano (if needed) will be provided.

A brief rehearsal will be held before the final contest on January 28 starting at 9am. Each finalist will have an assigned rehearsal time.

Judging

Contestants will be judged using a points scale based on quality, consistency, and overall entertainment value as well as the overall performance, including, but not limited to state presence and energy.

1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place and a People's Choice Award will be given. Trophies (yes, trophies!) will be awarded.
